1970 Ford Torino Cobra GT 429 Thunder Jet Automatic Odometer reading: 26882 Asking $37,500 The Ford Torino Cobra 429 Thunder Jet is a God among mortals, a muscle car to a different standard. The key turns and a thunderous roar can be heard from the 429, every Ford enthusiast forgets in that second that the Mustang even existed. While the Mustang may have run wild in the country, a true predator was leading the way! 1970 started the second generation of the Torino and this generation was looking completely new, with new bodily lines that moved away from the boxy predecessor. The Torino was offered as a 2 door with Sports roof only and Ford produced 7,675 of the Cobra Jet 429 in 1970 of which there were the Thunder Jet and the Cobra Jet series. The Thunder Jet was the entry level for the 429 motor, rated at 360 horsepower! You will not see many of the Torino’s at car shows and it is a pleasure to offer this one for sale. The paint is a 2- with a few imperfections (rock chips) from being driven. The interior is in excellent condition, Rust is nonexistent, this car has been well maintained This vehicle comes with a bill of sale, and the Marti report and build sheet.
